Wargaming enthusiast for over 30 years. I started, like so many others, collecting Airfix plastics, eventually graduating to metal figures.
My gaming interests are varied, ranging from Ancients through WWII. However, my "true love" is the Renaissance, probably owing to my educational experiences (studied in Florence, Italy), and my continuing interest in Italian culture and history--gaming the Renaissance seems like a natural fit.
Early 16th Century Landsknecht Arquebusiers (28mm)
The samples of Landsknecht Arquebusiers from Old Glory, Foundry, Mirliton, and Essex seem compatible in height and "thickness." Unfortunately, I do not have an arquebusier from Redoubt or Connoisseur--although I have other figures from those lines, so an "educated guess" as to compatibility of those figures with the aforementioned lines can be made.
I just sold my Redoubt Italian Wars troops to a friend and the Landsknect and Italian skirmishing Arqubusiers were compatible in size to Foundry, but were bigger than Essex. Essex made a standing Spanish Musketeer that as a single figure was OK but not if you tried to mix.
